About The Program

In Australian culture, within our national identity and economy, sports hold a vital position, with stadiums acting as central hubs for the sports community. These venues in Australia symbolise unity and sporting enthusiasm. With the rise of streaming platforms allowing people to enjoy sports from the comfort of their homes and the ongoing effects of a global pandemic, fewer individuals are returning to stadiums. However with Australia set to host the Olympics in 2032, the future of stadiums and sporting arenas has never been more important.

Our Future of Sport program sees students working collaboratively to design a stadium of the future, focusing on user-centred design, sustainability, technology and business operations. Over the course of the program, students tackle a series of challenges such as reimagining the spectator experience, deciding on strategic business partners and exploring innovative stadium redesign.

By engaging in this program, students are inspired to pursue diverse career opportunities within the sports sector, realising that their passion for sports can manifest in various roles beyond being a professional athlete. Our Future of Sport program opens doors to a world of possibilities, encouraging students to dream big and make a meaningful impact in the exciting realm of sports innovation and management.
