With curriculum time getting busier and busier, a great way to inspire and empower students is before and after school with extracurricular programs for students. Our after school programs are fantastic at doing this and allow us to get students thinking big and focussing on cross-curricular, project-based learning as they tackle challenges, build skills and work on projects that get them thinking about the world around them and the exciting opportunities open to their generation.
With everything from designing future cities to launching influencer brands, building businesses, working with technology and more, we have a range of standard programs to choose from, or we're able to customise a program to your school community. Our after school programs typically run for 6-8 weeks and cost $30 per student per week.

About The Program
The Young Business Leaders program has been created as an opportunity for young people across the local community to develop their skills in entrepreneurship as they build their own business over the course of a school term.
Often delivered in partnership chambers of commerce and industry, and facilitated by the experienced team of BOP facilitators, this term long program brings together students as they develop their knowledge and understanding, connect with mentors, access seed funding, and work to bring their ideas to life as they turn their interests into viable businesses that they can launch for under $100.
The Young Business Leaders program commences with a full day hackathon at the beginning of term to bring students together to develop their understanding of entrepreneurial pathways, form teams, and develop the foundation of their ideas. This fast faced day features a series of hands on challenges, networking activities, and the opportunity for students to hear from business leaders in their local community as they consider what type of business they might like to create in the program.
After the hackathon, students then return to their school communities to participate in a series of virtual masterclasses that take place online after school on one afternoon each week. Each 60-minute masterclass has been designed to help students develop their skills and understanding as they bring their business to life. Weekly topics that students will learn about include branding, marketing, product design, value propositions, business models, pricing, customer personas, launch strategies, and budgeting.
During the term there is also the opportunity to offer students up to $100 per team in 'Seed Capital'. This funding is often raised in the form of sponsorship from local businesses and goes directly towards helping students purchase the materials they need to launch their business.
At the conclusion of the term, students then come together for a Showcase Event to highlight all the work they have done over the course of the term, and to showcase their new businesses to members of the local community. Often hosted in partnership with a chamber of commerce breakfast, or as a school event for parents, teachers and the broader community, this event allows students to launch their business, and be acknowledged for their hard work.
The Young Business Leaders Program is a fantastic opportunity for schools and organisations looking to build entrepreneurial capability across their community in a fun and engaging way.
