With curriculum time getting busier and busier, a great way to inspire and empower students is before and after school with extracurricular programs for students. Our after school programs are fantastic at doing this and allow us to get students thinking big and focussing on cross-curricular, project-based learning as they tackle challenges, build skills and work on projects that get them thinking about the world around them and the exciting opportunities open to their generation.
With everything from designing future cities to launching influencer brands, building businesses, working with technology and more, we have a range of standard programs to choose from, or we're able to customise a program to your school community. Our after school programs typically run for 6-8 weeks and cost $30 per student per week.

About The Program
In an era where social media plays a central role in how we connect, learn, and express ourselves, students are often the most active users but rarely the architects of these digital spaces. The Ethical Innovations program invites young people to flip the script by stepping into the role of ethical tech founders. In this program, students will critically examine the impact of mainstream social media platforms on individuals and communities, exploring issues such as mental health, fake news, data privacy, advertising, and digital polarisation. Through thought-provoking discussions and real-world case studies, students will unpack what it means to create a social media platform that values ethics, safety, and wellbeing.
As the program progresses, students will be challenged to reimagine what social media could look like if built with purpose and responsibility. They’ll explore core concepts in app design, user experience, branding, and ethical monetisation, learning how digital products are shaped from concept through to launch. With the support of user personas, students will design a platform that speaks to real-world frustrations and needs, considering how features like content guidelines, safety tools, and community standards can be used to build trust and promote positive digital behaviours. Working individually or in teams, students will bring their platforms to life with sketches, plans, and brand identities before preparing a short pitch to present their ideas.
This hands-on, project-based workshop is ideal for educators looking to engage students in meaningful conversations about technology, innovation, and ethics. The Ethical Innovations helps students build critical and creative thinking skills, develop enterprise capabilities, and engage in future-focused problem solving. Whether students are aspiring entrepreneurs, digital creatives, or simply curious users of online platforms, this workshop gives them a chance to imagine and shape a more positive, inclusive, and ethical digital world.
