About The Program

Our Community Leaders program has been designed to show students how they can develop impactful initiatives to solve a challenge that they have identified in their local community.

Whether it’s a vibrant youth space to upskill young people, an app to incentivise people to pick up rubbish, or a workshop to teacher people how to upcycle their clothing, our community leaders program has been designed to show students how they can make a difference in their community in some fun and creative ways.

By utilising the principles of design thinking, students embark on a series of activities that enable them to develop a deep understanding of the challenges facing diverse communities worldwide. Throughout the workshop students will be working through a fast-paced design sprint as they form teams, identify a problem to solve, develop an understanding of their users, research solutions around the world, and create an impactful solution localised to their community and their users. At the conclusion of the program students will be pitching their finalised ideas.

This program has been designed for passionate young leaders looking for tangible strategies to make an impact in their local community.
