Social Enterprise Hackathon

Building Businesses That Make A Positive Impact On Our Community

About The Program

Studies are showing that young professionals under the age of 30 are willing to take up to a 30% pay cut to work for a company or a cause that they truly believe in. Around the world we’re seeing young people standing up for what they believe and making the change they want to see in the world.

To help our students make this change in their local community, we’ve developed our social enterprise hackathon. In this program students will be exploring the concept of a social enterprise as they look at how they can build a venture to help support issues in their local community.

The hackathon is designed to show students how they can use entrepreneurship to bring their ideas to life and how they as young people can help make a difference in their community. Designed in a similar format to our Business Builders program, students work through the processes of building a business where the profits are used to address a local community issue.
