Assistant Program Coordinator 

We’re on the search for a passionate and driven assistant program coordinator to help us in the classroom and in the office as we deliver workshops and events for primary and high school students, as well as teachers across the country and around the world.

Working with our team of innovative educators you’ll be helping us design and deliver school workshops, assist in planning education conferences and events, and develop resources and programs centred around innovation, entrepreneurship and STEM. 

Our assistant program coordinators are a core part of the BOP team as we work to inspire the next generation of young innovators.

About The Role 

As a BOP Assistant Program Coordinator, we’re looking for someone with a love of learning, a passion for working with people, and the ability to dive in and help out wherever needed. As part of this role you will be working with our team to help facilitate workshops, competitions, and programs, for primary and high school students across the country. 

As an assistant program coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

Program Building - 50%  

  • Designing workshop programs for primary and high school audiences

  • Designing and developing resources for our programs such as slides, templates, workbooks and other classroom resources

  • Supporting with the BOP team on larger education events, competitions and programs

 

Program Facilitation - 30%

  • Supporting and eventually leading workshops in primary and high schools across the country

  • Supporting the delivery of education events and conferences across the country 

Resource Development - 20%

  • Developing materials and resources for programs 

  • Designing curriculum-aligned resources with graphic design tools

  • Creating visual aids and documents to support programs

This role will see you working closely with our team to bring these amazing programs to life. As part of this role you will also have the opportunity to shape key strategic decisions for the company as our programs continue to grow and evolve. 

Skills And Requirements

Whilst we offer a great deal of on the job training, we are ideally looking for applicants that have experience with the following skills, or that are willing to develop these skills in the role: 
 

  • Public Speaking Skills 

  • Written Communication Skills

  • Experience Working With Students And Young People

  • Knowledge Of Canva & Google Suite (Google Slides, Google Docs, etc) Would Be Highly Valued But Not Essential

What We're Looking For  

This is an action-packed role where no two days will look the same. Within a week you can find yourself going from strategy sessions to client meetings, before then jumping into a classroom full of students to design a future city! For this role, we're looking for someone with a genuine love of learning, a passion for inspiring others, and a willingness to give things a go as they help bring programs and events to life.

Success in this role will see you supporting and eventually leading a range of projects and programs throughout the year. As part of this, you will be working with our team and our clients to prepare and deliver workshop programs for their students. As well as this, there will be opportunities for you to work on a wide variety of projects including running inter-school competitions, supporting the delivery of student conferences, and working with school leaders to reimagine how we teach.  

​We operate in a highly collaborative work environment, meaning the ability to work with a diverse range of people is essential. A typical week will see you meeting with clients, brainstorming with the team, working individually, and collaborating with students in the classroom. 

​As a small but fast-growing team, there are also ample opportunities for you to help out with other areas of the business such as sales and marketing, product development, content creation, or any other interest areas you may have.

The Details

Hours of Work: Flexible Part Time

Start Date: Immediate/Mid May

Location: Our head office is in Edward Street (we work in a very funky co-working space). However, this role will also require working in a variety of schools and other locations across Australia. Hybrid options are also available!
