Nestled on the Thai coast, Aquatopia is a coastal haven facing critical environmental hurdles, where the vibrant interplay of land and sea is threatened by the diminishing marine biodiversity, the vanishing terrestrial ecosystems, and the repercussions of climate change, all of which call for urgent and innovative solutions to restore balance and sustainability in this unique paradise. In this challenge pack, students are set the mission to devise inventive strategies to solve these challenges and pave the way for a more resilient and ecologically balanced future in Aquatopia.
Working in teams, students will assume the role of specific stakeholders and will be challenged to develop innovative solutions that promote long-term sustainability for the region.
With three region specific challenges in this pack, students will review each challenge set to them before then considering a set of guidelines and exploring a suite of stimulus material as they bring their solutions to life.
The Global Leader Challenge Packs offer a dynamic and engaging way for students to learn about the importance of community leadership, sustainable design, and innovative thinking to develop impactful solutions.
By completing in these challenge packs, students will gain a deep understanding of the complex issues that impact our world and the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are required to become a global leader. Through teamwork and collaboration, students will learn how to leverage diverse perspectives in order to develop innovative solutions that address the needs of all stakeholders in their community.
