Tell Us About Your Business:
Urban Threadz is a youth-led streetwear brand focused on delivering high-quality, affordable
fashion for teens. We understand that style shouldn’t come with a hefty price tag, so we provide trend-forward apparel that allows young people to express themselves confidently—without
breaking the bank.
How Did You Come Up With This Business Idea?
Since I was 10, I’ve been passionate about expressing creativity through fashion. Every product
at Urban Threadz is carefully designed by me, sometimes going through over a thousand mock-
ups to perfect just one item. With a love for streetwear, I constantly study the market to see
what others are doing—and challenge myself to do it better. Starting my business at 14 has
been an exciting journey, and I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves too. Welcome to
Urban Threadz.
What Products/Services Are You Offering and Who Are They For?
Urban Threadz currently offers a range of streetwear essentials, including tees, caps, and
hoodies—all designed for teens and young adults who want to express their style with
confidence. As the brand grows, I plan to expand the product line to include more apparel and
accessories, catering to a broader audience while staying true to our identity of affordable, high-
quality streetwear.
What Is Your Favourite Tool for Your Business?
Social media is my favourite tool for growing my business. As a young entrepreneur, platforms
like Instagram help me connect with customers, build a community, and showcase my work.
Many people love supporting young creators, and every order means a lot to me. I include a
personalized note with each package to show my appreciation—something I believe makes a
small business experience truly special.
What Is The Most Important Thing You’ve Learnt In The Young Entrepreneurs Hub?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to be extremely careful when working with
international manufacturers. Communication and trust can be tricky, and unfortunately, it’s easy
to get scammed if you're not cautious—especially as a young business owner. Always do your research, verify suppliers, and never rush into large orders without being 100% sure. This
lesson could save time, money, and stress.
What Advice Do You Have For Other Young People Wanting To Start Their Own Business?
If you have a dream, go for it. You don’t need a lot of money to start—just an idea and the drive
to make it real. Reach out to mentors, apply for grants, and get your vision out there. Believe in
yourself and never be afraid to start small.
