We’re on the lookout for an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our operations running smoothly, supporting the coordination of workshops, programs, and events that inspire students and educators across the country.

About The Role 

As an Office Assistant at BOP, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and events. From handling administrative tasks to supporting logistics for workshops, you’ll be the a key part of our day-to-day operations.

As an office assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Administrative Support – 40%

  • Managing emails, scheduling meetings, and coordinating calendars

  • General office administration

  • Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation
     

Event & Program Coordination – 40%

  • Supporting the planning and execution of workshops, competitions, and events

  • Assisting with travel logistics, bookings, and venue arrangements

  • Preparing workshop materials, resources, and documentation

  • Communicating with schools, educators, and partners regarding upcoming programs
     

General Office Support – 20%

  • Managing inventory of program materials and office supplies

  • Providing occasional support in workshops and events

  • Jumping in wherever needed to help our team deliver amazing experiences!
     

This role will see you working closely with our team to bring these amazing programs to life. 

Skills And Requirements

Whilst we offer a great deal of on the job training, we are ideally looking for applicants that have experience with the following skills, or that are willing to develop these skills in the role: 
 

✅ Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
✅ Can manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment
✅ Is confident in using tools like Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive) and Canva
✅ Enjoys working with people and communicating effectively
✅ Is a problem-solver who takes initiative and can work independently
✅ Has a passion for education, events, or working with young people (a plus but not required!)

What We're Looking For  

At BOP, no two days look the same! One day you’ll be coordinating logistics for a student innovation challenge, the next you’ll be helping our team organise an education conference. We value curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn—if you don’t tick every box, we still encourage you to apply!

The Details

Hours of Work: Flexible Temporary Part Time - Possibility to extend after 6 months

Start Date: Early April 

Location: Our head office is in Edward Street (we work in a very funky co-working space). 

Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour + super - determined by level of experience
