About The Program
The Careers of the Future program has been designed to help students explore the rapidly evolving world of work as they investigate the industries, technologies and opportunities shaping the future workforce.
Throughout the program, students will examine how careers are changing across sectors such as technology, aviation, health, sustainability and the creative industries. Through interactive discussions and activities, they will explore emerging jobs, the impact of innovation on the workplace and the skills that employers will value in the decades ahead. This session encourages students to think broadly about their future and begin identifying the capabilities that will help them succeed in a constantly evolving workforce.
As the program progresses, students will shift their focus to how they can position themselves for future opportunities. Participants will explore the concept of personal branding as they identify their strengths, skills and interests, while learning how to communicate these effectively through tools such as resumes, portfolios and online profiles. Through guided activities, students will begin developing or refining their own resume while gaining insight into what makes an application stand out to employers.
The program will then culminate in a future career design activity where students apply their learning to create their own future job profile. Working individually or in small teams, students will design a potential career pathway by outlining the role, industries involved, skills required and the steps they can take today to move closer to that goal.
By the end of the program, students will leave with a clearer understanding of emerging career opportunities, the skills needed to thrive in the future workforce and the many pathways available to help them build their own career journey.
