About The Program
The Young Publishers Program sees students stepping into the world of writing and publishing as they explore how ideas can be transformed into stories, books and magazines. Through hands-on activities and guided workshops, participants will learn the key elements of effective writing, including idea generation, structuring content, editing and refining their work. They will also explore how design, layout and audience considerations play a role in bringing a publication to life.
The program challenges students to think like both writers and publishers as they develop their own original piece of writing for a real audience. This could include creating a short story, a magazine concept or a written piece that informs or inspires others. Through this process, students will not only build confidence in their writing and communication skills but also gain a deeper understanding of how content is created, shaped and shared in the real world.
