About The Program
The Teaching In The Attention Economy workshop is a future-focused professional development session designed to help educators better understand how today’s digital world is reshaping student focus, motivation and participation in learning. In this workshop, educators will explore practical strategies to create learning experiences that capture and sustain student attention in an increasingly distraction-filled environment.
Throughout the session, educators will unpack how social media, short-form content and constant digital stimulation are influencing the way students engage with information, communicate and learn. Participants will explore ways to move beyond passive learning by designing more interactive, relevant and curiosity-driven classroom experiences that encourage deeper engagement and student ownership.
The workshop will also explore practical approaches to increasing participation, improving classroom energy and creating meaningful learning experiences that resonate with Gen Z and Gen Alpha learners. Educators will gain access to engaging classroom strategies, real-world examples and future-focused ideas that can be adapted across a variety of subject areas and year levels.

Program Length
This program can be adapted in length to run for one hour, two hours, a half day, or a full day in length. Short programs are perfect for a high level overview and introduction to the topic, whereas longer programs are great for groups looking to dive deeper into the content
