About The Resource
The Young Entrepreneur Starter Kit is a practical introductory resource designed to help young people explore what it takes to turn an idea into a business. Created as an accessible starting point for aspiring young entrepreneurs, this resource introduces the foundations of entrepreneurship through simple activities, prompts and practical tools that encourage students to think like business builders.
The resource begins by exploring the rise of young entrepreneurs and highlights real examples of young people who have launched businesses, social enterprises and community initiatives powered by little more than an idea, determination and access to digital tools. Students are encouraged to see entrepreneurship as something accessible, creative and achievable regardless of age or experience.
As students work through the resource, they are guided through the essential foundations of business creation, including identifying strong business ideas, understanding what all successful businesses have in common and developing customer personas that help shape a solution around real user needs. Activities then move into product design, logo creation and defining mission, vision and values.
The resource also introduces practical online tools that young people can use to begin building their business idea, including platforms for design, collaboration, websites and planning. Designed as a self guided workbook, this resource is ideal for students exploring entrepreneurship independently, in classrooms, or as part of an extension project.
