At BOP we have the pleasure of working with some really innovative educators on some really exciting projects across the country. A big part of our role is sharing our learnings from working with schools and organisations to help our educators deliver future-focussed educational experiences to their students.
This is why when the team at Methodist Ladies' College Claremont approached us about the potential of delivering an Innovation In Education Festival, we jumped at the opportunity.
The Innovation In Education Festival 2021 was a two-day conference for educators and industry leaders to come together and share learnings, top tips, and examples of best practice to help prepare young people for the ever-changing future of work. Over the course of the festival we heard from an outstanding line up of speakers including the CEO of the Royal Flying Doctor's Service WA Rebecca Tomkinson, Professor Of Environmental Engineering at The University Of Western Australia Anas Ghadouani, and even the Director Of Strategy at McCrindle Grant Dusting.
As well as having industry and academic leaders joining us for panel discussions and keynote speeches, we also had the pleasure of hosting a 'By Teachers, For Teachers' stream of masterclasses that saw leading educators from across Western Australia sharing their insights and learnings from delivering innovative programming in their classrooms.
In the lead up to the festival, our team worked hand in hand with the MLC team to manage all aspects of the festival from souring sponsors, managing marketing campaigns, sourcing and managing speakers, and even streaming the festival virtually for attendees to join nationally and internationally.
In all the festival was a major success with +200 attendees, 33 speakers, 9 sponsors, and an overall rating of 4.5/5 from attendees. For 2022 planning is well underway to scale up our Western Australia event, whilst also bringing the festival to Brisbane for our East Coast educators.
