Innovate - Create - Educate
At BOP Industries, we aim to provide an educational experience that inspires, empowers and delights. To help deliver on that aim, we’re on the hunt for passionate, engaging and energetic people to join our team as Program Facilitators.
As a Program Facilitator, you’ll be delivering workshops on entrepreneurship, STEM and innovation, showing young people the amazing things they can do at any age. Being a confident presenter is essential, as is being comfortable working with Primary and High School Students.
This is a casual role, but with an ever-growing team there are always opportunities for further employment in the future.
About The Role
As a Program Facilitator, you’ll need to be a confident communicator and adaptable in delivering content on a range of topics, to a variety of different audiences. We work with schools, corporates and government organisations, to deliver on educational topics ranging from building a business, to innovative technology, and sustainability. We do not expect our facilitators to be experts in every field, but it is important to be versatile and open to learning new content regularly. Your top priority is ensuring the safety, enjoyment and learning of the students in your class as well as the overall quality of the experience for the attendees.
Delivering workshops to students and ensuring they are having an enjoyable learning experience;
Ensuring workshops run in a timely manner and that all outcomes are delivered;
Ensuring that all materials are prepared and organised for workshops. This includes set-up & pack-down of any workshops materials (both physical and digital).
Liaising with the client or parents on the day to ensure any questions are answered and they have piece of mind for the program;
Communicating clearly and regularly with the BOP Operations Manager and extended BOP Industries Team;
Basic tech support for online programs
Attending meetings and training at BOP Industries Head Office for continued workshop development;
Other tasks and responsibilities may become available within the business (including program building, marketing assistance, etc.), but any additional expectations of the role will be discussed prior to any tasks are assigned.
Success In The Role
Success in this role will see you successfully delivering programs that are both engaging for the participants and delivering on the expected outcomes of BOP Industries and/or the clients. For an initial training period, Program Facilitators will act in a support role with an established Lead Facilitator, which means that success in this role will also see you becoming a confident and autonomous Lead Facilitator who can run programs with less direct input from a more senior member of the team.
As an ever expanding team, there may also be opportunities for additional responsibilities as part of this role in areas of need for the business or areas of interest for the team member. The most common route for this transition is to go from delivering programs, to building programs. This is a great opportunity to create resources around areas of personal interest for BOP Industries to deliver in future workshops.
