Over the past decade we have seen some amazing examples of how we can use technologies to make our cities safer, more responsive, more convenient and more enjoyable.
With technologies such as artificial intelligence, extended reality, robotics and IoT, we’re able to connect, protect and support our citizens in a truly smart city.
In our Smart Cities challenge, students will be redesigning their city to be a truly smart city using a range of advanced technologies to make our lives easier, more efficient and more enjoyable
Students will be working to balance the social, ethical and technological implications of technology implementations into cities as they consider how different members of society utilise our cities and technology.
Students will be using a series of 21st century skills and design thinking frameworks as they redesign our city for the future.
Age Group: This program has been designed for high school students in grade 7-12. It has the ability to be tailored to upper and lower high school students depending on their skill level.
Time Length: This program has been designed to be delivered over the course of 2-3 days.
