Innovate - Create - Educate
After School Programs
At BOP we're on a mission to show young people the amazing things they can do at any age, from anywhere. With programs designed for primary and high school students on topics ranging from smart cities to young inventors, we've got something for everyone this term.
As COVID restrictions ease around the world, our learner's safety is our number one priority. That is why this term we have decided to run the majority of our workshops online, with a few small programs hosted at schools across Brisbane. Please see below for more information on our programs this holidays, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our team at email@example.com.
This term we will be running a series of online workshops open for students around the world to innovate and create together. These programs will be facilitated by our passionate team of facilitators and will feature separate classes for primary and high school students on different topics.
Week Of The 3rd August - Week Of 7th September
The Young Innovators after school program is a series of workshops for students interested in learning what it takes to design, create, and innovate. The Future Of Work
Ipswich Students - Grade 9-12
The world of work is constantly evolving and you’re limited only by your imagination. It’s time to think about your future - your career goals; your passions; your political stances; your moral code. What will make your future-self proud?
We have designed this program to show high school students what exciting opportunities are awaiting them in the workforce of the future. Over 4 weeks, we will explore thought-provoking topics within interactive Zoom workshops. By working together to think bigger, Generation Z participants will be inspired by these creative 21st century concepts and job prospects.
For term three, we will have a selection of physical programs running across Brisbane. These programs will be open to students across Brisbane while we innovate, create, and design.
Business Builders Program
Kelvin Grove State College Students - Grade 6-8
As part of our Business Builders after school program, we will be working with students to follow their interests and grow their ideas into a tangible product or service, giving them a way to bring their ideas to life, whilst also making money doing so. Whether their venture returns a profit or remains in the classroom, students will adopt an entrepreneurial mindset where they will gain confidence in themselves and discover their potential.
Smart Cities Program
Ipswich Grammar School Students - Grade 7-10
In our Smart Cities after school program, students will be participating in a series of design sprints to explore how new and emerging technologies are changing the way we live and work now and into the future. This will be a hands-on and creative program that will see students ideating, designing and creating as they look at smart cities around the world, before then looking at how they can turn Ipswich and Brisbane into truly smart cities.
