Operations Assistant

Supporting our CEO and Operations Manager, we are currently on the search for a talented and highly organised operations assistant to join our team. Working in a collaborative and fast paced environment you will be assisting with a variety of business and administrative tasks whilst occasionally jumping into the classroom to help support our education programs!

You’ll be a core part of the BOP team as you assist us in bringing our education programs to life.

About You

Our new operations assistant will be a highly committed individual with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. With the ability to multitask and complete a wide range of tasks you are also passionate about learning and educating future generations.


About The Role 

Working as part of our head office team you will be working collaboratively with our CEO, Operations Manager and other program coordinators. Your role will see you handling a variety of operational and administrative tasks as well as occasionally assisting in facilitating our education programs as needed. You will be working within a fast moving role that supports the operations of the business where no two days will be the same, you will be applying your problem solving and administration abilities to all tasks with the highest quality. Your key responsibilities will be:

Operations Assistant  (80% Of Role)

  • Provide administrative and executive support in a fast paced environment 

  • Handling a large volume of email correspondence and phone calls.

  • Managing both the CEOS and Operations Manager schedules and tasks at the same time while maintaining a high level of support and attention for each.

  • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation for our office as required

  • Assisting in the coordination of organisations events and programs

  • Organising of meetings and liaising with a variety of clients 
     

Program Facilitation (20% Of Role)

  • Working with the BOP team on consulting projects and large bodies of work as we explore the future of education

  • Facilitating workshops online and in-person to our students across the country

  • Leading workshop tours to our various locations across the country 

  • Hosting events and conferences for our students and teachers 

  • Finding new and exciting ways to engage and inspire our students in the classroom

Skills And Requirements

Whilst we offer a great deal of on the job training, we are ideally looking for applicants that have experience with the following skills, or that are willing to develop these skills in the role: 

  • Strong communication skills in all aspects as well as the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. 

  • Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and deliver a wide range of tasks to meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to problem solve under pressure. 

  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work autonomously. 

  • A commitment to exceptional customer and client service

  • A genuine passion and love for empowering the youth of tomorrow 

  • Knowledge Of Canva & Google Suite (Google Slides, Google Docs, etc) would be highly recommended however not essential.

What We're Looking For  

We operate in a highly collaborative work environment, meaning the ability to work with a diverse range of people is essential. A typical week will see you meeting with clients, brainstorming with the team, working individually, and collaborating with students in the classroom. 

As a small but fast-growing team, there are also ample opportunities for you to help out with other areas of the business such as sales and marketing, product development, content creation, or any other interest areas you may have.

The Details

Hours of Work: Full-Time Role
Standard office hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, with WFH flexibility available.

Start Date: Immediate/Late April 2022 

Location: Our head office is in Edward Street (we work in a very funky co-working space). However, this role will also require working in a variety of schools and other locations across Brisbane.

Salary: $52,000 Per Annum + Super
