You’ll be a core part of the BOP team and on occasion this role will see you jumping into the classroom to assist our facilitators in brining our programs to life.
Our events coordinator will be well-organised, creative, and constantly thinking big as they work towards bringing an array of education focused events to life across the country In this role, we’re looking for an expert multitasker that is comfortable managing a number of projects as they see our events from start to finish throughout the year. About The Role
This role will see you working closely with our team in all parts of the business as you can help design and deliver events, but also jump into the classroom to support some of our workshop programs for primary and high school students where necessary. As part of this role you will also have the opportunity to shape key strategic decisions for the company as our programs continue to grow and evolve. Your key responsibilities will be:
Event Coordinator (75% Of Role)
Arranging and liaising with all stakeholders to understand key requirements and expectations for events.
Reaching out to, and building, a network with an array of speakers, sponsors and vendors.
Securing bookings at appropriate venues and organising catering, decor, audio visual etc. as needed.
Supporting communications and marketing for events.
Managing guest lists, inviting special guests and handling all RSVPS and registrations for events.
Developing event wrap ups and recommendations on how to improve future events
General office responsibilities.
Travel interesate to assist with national clients as required.
Program Facilitation (25% Of Role)
Researching and developing new programs which can be adapted to a variety of audiences whether that be primary or high school
Cultivating strong working relationships with clients, and pitching new and existing programs to a variety of clients
Facilitating workshops online and in-person to our students across the country
Leading workshop tours to our various locations across the country
Skills And Requirements
Whilst we offer a great deal of on the job training, we are ideally looking for applicants that have experience with the following skills, or that are willing to develop these skills in the role:
Strong communication skills in all aspects as well as the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and deliver a wide range of tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to problem solve under pressure.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work autonomously.
A commitment to exceptional customer and client service
Experience in event management, theatre production, communication, marketing or business are desirable, however not essential.
A genuine passion and love for empowering the youth of tomorrow
Knowledge of Canva & Google Suite (Google Slides, Google Docs, etc) would be highly recommended however not essential.
What We're Looking For
This is an action-packed role where no two days will look the same. Within a week you can find yourself going from strategy sessions to client meetings, before then jumping into a classroom full of students where you're using makerspace materials to design a future city! For this role, we're looking for someone with a genuine love of bringing events to life!

Hours of Work: Full-Time Role
Standard office hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, with WFH flexibility available.
Start Date: Immediate/Late April 2022
Location: Our head office is in Edward Street (we work in a very funky co-working space). However, this role will also require working in a variety of schools and other locations across Brisbane.
Salary: $60, 000 Per Annum + Super
