Are Proud To Present The
Countdown Until Launch
School Holiday Program
High School - Tuesday 7th To Wednesday 8th July
Our Business Builders school holiday program will see grade 7-9 students from Glasshouse Christian College coming together for two days of designing, creating and building their own businesses in this hands on program.
In this two day program, students will be working with our facilitators as they design and prototype a product before then building a brand and business around it. Students will be deconstructing their favourite brands to see how their brands, businesses and products operate. From there students will be building their skills in design thinking and rapid prototyping as they work to identify business opportunities and bring their ideas to life.
With programs built by engineers, entrepreneurs, community leaders and educators, these programs have been designed to link closely with relevant case studies and industry knowledge as students build their own businesses.
Our Business Builders program has been designed for driven and passionate students wanting to learn about technology, innovation, product design and business. Open to students in grade 7-9, no prior experience is required and we ask that students come with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
Staying Safe While We Learn
Whilst Queensland is doing an exceptional job at crushing the curve, the safety of our learners is always our top priority for us. To ensure we're all staying safe while we learn we will only be opening these programs to students from Glasshouse Christian College. In addition to this, we will be limiting student numbers for the program to a maximum of 20 students.
Finally, we will be cleaning surfaces and equipment between uses and following other directions from the Queensland Government and Glasshouse Christian College to ensure we're creating a safe space for our learners.
What To Bring
Our team will be providing all materials required for challenges and activities. We ask that students provide their own morning tea and lunch on the day and we will have a selection of snacks available throughout the day.
In addition to this, we ask that students bring a water bottle, and a device to work on if they wish. We will provide iPads for research, but if students have their own laptop or device they are more comfortable using, we're happy for them to bring this along.
Students will not need any prior experience for this program.
Throughout the program students will be given the opportunity to either work alone or in groups and this will be at their own discretion.
The program will be running from 9am - 3pm and students are welcome to be dropped off from 8:30am and picked up before 4:00pm each day.
